Recipe: Oreo Truffles

Hey guys, it me Ayesha again! :)

I posted a picture on my Instagram (@ayshqweeks) of these Oreo truffles I made and asked my followers if they'd like to know how to make them, I got a resounding YES so here it is.

I found this recipe on a Youtube channel called Popsugar Girls Guide. If you're interested, keep reading!

We thought it might be a pretty cool idea if we posted a few recipes here and there on our blog too.. What do you guys think?

Ingredients:

2 packs of 'double stuff' Oreos
4 ounces of cream cheese (I'd say 1 and a half table spoons)
1 bar of white chocolate
1 bar of milk chocolate

Directions:

1. Place the 2  packets of Oreos in the food processor and crush them so they become small crumbs (save a 1/4 of the crumbs for garnish at the end).

2. In a large bowl mix the crumbs and cream cheese together with your hands (get's messy!)

3. Once mixed the consistency of the mixture will be dough like.

4. Then roll the mixture into 1 inch balls with your hands and place them on wax paper (optional) or just a baking tray.

5. Place in the freezer for 15 mins.

6. While the Oreo balls are cooling in the freezer, both milk and white chocolate can be melted. To melt, take a pan and boil water. Place a heat resistance bowl on top of the pan and melt the chocolate in the bowl (if you're lazy, you can melt it in the microwave using a microwave-safe bowl).

7. To decorate you can either dip half of the balls into white chocolate and the other half in milk chocolate or you can dip the balls in one type of chocolate and drizzle the other on top, it's entirely up to you.. Get a little creative!

8. Once the chocolate is melted you can get the Oreo balls out the freezer and start decorating them. If you decide to decorate half and half, using a fork to pick up the balls out the melted chocolate as this could be a bit tricky.

9. Once decorated you can now sprinkle the Oreo truffles with the Oreo crumbs that we saved at the beginning.

10. Place the Oreo truffles in the fridge to set the chocolate.

11. Lastly, enjoy your yummy little treats.

Here are the end goodies!

*licks lips*

I decided to dip all the balls in white chocolate and used milk chocolate to drizzle but like I said earlier, you can design them however you like. My favourite way to eat these treats is with a big cup of cold milk (ahh perfection!) My family loved them.

Let us know if you had a go at making them.. You can tag us in your pictures on Instagram too, just #houseofdemure, we'd love to see!

Hope you enjoyed this little recipe!

Until next time,
Byeee!
